Attention Sterling Mine Ditch Trail Users:

For the next week , beginning February 8th, a crew will be out removing large dead trees in the area between the Armstrong Trail head all the way to the Deming Trail head and near the trail between Deming and the large parking area (currently locked) above the Deming Trail head.  Please DO NOT USE the trail if you see the crew is working as we do not want to interfere with their work or have any accidentally squished hikers, runners or bicyclists.  The removal of these trees will help reduce the number of trees falling on the ditch over the next few years so we are delighted to have these hazards removed. The rest of the SMDT is wide open for use.
