Come Join Us for a Trail Work Party on the Sterling Mine Ditch Trail!

Come join SUTA for your last chance in 2014 to experience one of our fun and highly satisfying trail work parties.  You will see tangible results, spend time with on a lovely trail with great people and be well fed!

Our December work party will focus on the trail section from the Deming Trailhead north towards the Grub Gulch Trail, doing light trimming and much needed tread work.  We will hike no more than about 4 miles roundtrip, returning to the Deming Trailhead for lunch.  This lovely portion of the trail passes through lush forest, oak woodlands, and some drier southwest-facing slopes, affording views of mountains to the west.

Where  Deming Trailhead, turn onto the Deming-Armstrong Road off of Sterling Creek Road close to the 9 mile marker – bear left at the “T” and drive 7/10s of a mile up to the trailhead. For detailed driving directions click here to download PDF.
