Join us April 30th for SUTA’s last Sterling Mine Ditch Trail Work Party of the 2015-2016 Season 

Come help keep the trail open, enjoy a lovely hike and the camaraderie of fellow trail users and neighbors. We might see some lingering Trillium like these – found close to the new Deming bridge!

 When:  April 30th – Saturday   8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

(includes lunch provided by SUTA)

Where:  Meet at Buncom (corner of Little Applegate Rd and Sterling Creek Rd  to carpool to the Tunnel Ridge Trailhead.  For detailed driving directions  click HERE.

What:  We’ll hike up the Tunnel Ridge Trailhead and head east towards the Little Applegate Trailhead for some brushing and tread work, returning to Tunnel Ridge Trailhead for lunch.  Total hiking distance roughly six-seven miles.

What to Bring: Wear comfortable hiking or work boots, dress in layers and bring gloves. .  If you have them, please bring loppers, a pruning saw or a tread tool such as a Pulaski, grubber, or sturdy shovel.  Bring water and whatever special snacks you like.  SUTA supplies additional trail tools, delicious home-baked snacks to fuel you on the trail, as well as lunch.

The last SUTA trail work party this season will be on April 30, 2016 – most likely working from the Tunnel Ridge trailhead.

For those of you who cannot come on April 30th, we look forward to seeing you at a work party next fall or out enjoying the trails.
