Bear Gulch TH Trail Work Party – November 10, 2018

Our first work party of the 2018-2019 season will on the section of the Sterling Mine Ditch Trail between the Bear Gulch Trailhead to the Tunnel Ridge Trailhead.  We have not worked on this lovely section for several years.  This spectacular madrone tree in the photo is halfway to Tunnel Ridge Trailhead and worth the hike!  We will be hiking about 4 miles.

Where:  Meet at Buncom (corner of Sterling Creek Rd and Little Applegate Rd) at 8:30 AM.  We will carpool down Little Applegate Rd to the Bear Gulch Trialhead.

When:  Saturday, November 10, 2018

8:30AM-1:30PM
(SUTA provides lunch)

What:  Trail maintenance on the Sterling Mine Ditch Trail – cutting/digging out encroaching vegetation and some tread work as needed.  We cancel only if heavy rain/snow is forecast.

What to Bring: Wear comfortable hiking or work boots, dress in layers and bring gloves.  Bring water and whatever special snacks you like.  If you have them, please bring loppers, a pruning saw or a tread tool such as a Pulaski, grubber, rake or sturdy shovel.

RSVP:  If you plan to come, please email SUTAoregoncontact@gmail.com so we can plan the work party and food!  Thank you!
